After a triumphant inaugural year that saw over 1,500 participants engage in vibrant workshops and the creation of stunning new murals, Leake Street Arches is thrilled to announce the continuation of the Artist in Residence programme with the incredible Marc Craig.
His residency will continue to offer workshops that have already captivated the local community and visitors alike. This year, Marc’s focus will be on his ambitious new project, the Arc of Extinction, which aims to raise awareness about the world's most endangered animals through his art and giving them a home on the walls of Leake Street tunnel.
Highlights of the Second Year:
· Workshops - Marc will continue to run engaging and interactive workshops, allowing participants to explore their creativity while learning about the pressing issue of animal extinction. For more information visit the Leake Street Arches website.
· Arc of Extinction Project- This project will feature a series of new murals highlighting endangered species, bringing attention to their plight and the urgent need for conservation efforts. For more information visit the Arc of Extinction website.
· Special Launch Competition - To celebrate the launch of the second year, Leake Street Arches and Marc Craig are offering a special giveaway. Anyone signed up for the Leake Street Arches newsletter by 31 August 2024 will have the chance to win a private workshop with Marc Craig for themselves and four friends. Additionally, five runners-up will each win a pair of tickets to join one of the public workshops. Enter by signing up to the newsletter to be in the draw. Marc Craig, is primarily recognised for his signature doodle large-scale urban art murals but trained originally in textile and ceramic design. He transitioned to large-scale mural works in 2015, garnering recognition for his work with major brands such as Guinness, Wahacca, and Nescafe. Marc is also passionate about photography, abstract painting, and AI art, and his primary interest lies in collaborative community-driven projects. In January 2023, he launched Leake Street Galleries, a project dedicated to supporting artists working in the urban landscape.

1. Introduction
1.1 The promoter of this competition is Leake Street Arches, located in London, UK.
1.2 By entering this competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The competition is open to all individuals who sign up for the Leake Street Arches newsletter.
2.2 Participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry.
2.3 Employees of Leake Street Arches, their families, and anyone else connected professionally with the competition are not eligible to enter.
3. How to Enter

3.2 Only one entry per person is permitted.
3.3 The competition begins on 16/07/2024 and ends at 11:59 PM (GMT) on 31/08/2024. Entries received after this time will not be considered.
4. Prizes
4.1 The grand prize is a private workshop with Marc Craig for the winner and four friends.
4.2 Five runners-up will each receive a pair of tickets to join one of the public workshops conducted by Marc Craig.
4.3 Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives will be offered.
5. Winner Selection and Notification
5.1 Winners will be chosen at random from all eligible entries received during the competition period.
5.2 Winners will be notified via the email address provided during newsletter sign-up within 7 days of the competition closing date.
5.3 If a winner does not respond within 7 days of being notified, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries.
6. Privacy and Data Protection
6.1 Any personal information provided during the course of the competition will be collected, stored, and processed in accordance with the Leake Street Arches privacy policy.
7. General
7.1 Leake Street Arches reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control.
7.2 Any changes to the competition will be notified to participants as soon as possible by the promoter.
7.3 The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7.4 The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
